Elderly woman robbed gold jewelry arrested

Visakhapatnam: Kasibugga police in Srikakulam district have arrested three robberies, one of the elderly woman was threatened in Knifepoint and stole her gold jewelry. Police arrested all stolen property on March 16.
On March 12, Dompsala Yasodha, 65, was robbed of her gold jewelry while heading to her home in Kalinga Kosangipuram village from Palasa Kidney Hospital.
The main defendant of 19-year-old Bangarubandi Pradeep allegedly provided the victim with a ride on a scooter and then moved to an isolated area near the GME colony where he threatened her with a knife and forcibly removed about 4 Tolas’ gold jewelry before escaping from his neck.
Police investigations show that ITI dropout Pradeep has been gambling on the online betting app after previously transferring Rs 1,10,000 from his mother’s account without permission. After losing the money on the Teen Patty app, he plans to rob him to make up for his losses.
After the theft, Pradeep sold the stolen jewelry with the help of his uncle Rosuva Kiran Kumar, 36, where he contacted the third item of defendant Pawar Ranjith, a 39-year-old metal maker, who purchased the stolen items for Rs 1,77,000.
Of the money, Kiran put Rs 27,000 as his share, while offering Rs 1,50,000 to Pradeep, and they reportedly lost some of them again through online gambling. The case has been registered under section 309(6) of the BNS of Kasibugga Police Department. The district police in Kasibugga are supervising the investigation.
