Elena Delle Donne, a two-time Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) MVP, announced his withdrawal from professional basketball after sitting up in the 2024 season.

ESPN reported that the seven-time All-Star announcement was posted on Instagram on Friday, claiming that her body appears to have made the decision.

On the social media platform, Donne shared his collage and wrote: “One of my favorite children’s books asked: ‘How is it so late?’.”
She said she had been asking this question “over and over again” when she decided to announce her decision to retire from professional basketball.

For Donne, being able to speak out her “hardest part” is one of the toughest parts of her career. She mentioned that her body “seemed to have made this decision before my mind accepted it, but I really know now that it is the right thing for me.”

Dorn said basketball has always been her life and she will always be grateful for all the memories and “give me how much.”

Elena Delle Donne’s Career

In 2013, Delle Donne was selected by Chicago Sky and stayed at the club for the next few years. She has since made an offer in the 2016 season of the Washington Mystery Post.

She is still part of the team that won the WNBA championship in 2019 – that same year, she played the WNBA MVP for the second time after 2015. At that time, even after facing three herniated discs, she worked for the mystics.

The post was a four-time all-WNBA first-team selection Delle Donne remained absent in the 2020 season, severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite continuing to face health issues due to back problems, the appearance of star players was limited to three games in the 2021 season, followed by 25 and 23 in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
