Elephants surround guardians in storm in Thailand shelter with heart-warming viral video

The moving videos of Thailand’s Elephant Natural Park have attracted the hearts of viewers around the world. In the clip, two elephants, Chaba and Thong Ae, were seen crowding around their caretaker, Lek Chailert, and suddenly poured down, seemingly protecting her from the rain.

With the thunder rumbling in the background, the elephant’s position protects itself around Chirat. Chaba gently stroked her with her trunk, providing comfort. Chailert, founder of Thailand’s Save Elephant Foundation, shared a video on Instagram and pointed out on her caption: “When I put on my raincoat, Chaba gently checked me, stroked me with her trunk, and gave me a sweet trunk kiss and then gave me a sweet kiss as if saying, ‘Don’t worry, everything will be OK.”
The video spread, amassing millions of views and thousands of comments. The audience describes the scene as “humility,” “emotional” and “beautiful words.”
Chailert stresses the emotional depth of elephants and points out: “Elephants are deep emotional beings. Their love and care exceeds their flock. If they trust and care about someone, they welcome that person as one of their own.”
