A South Korean national who helped to design a well-designed high-end sex ring in Boston and the suburbs of Washington, D.C. will serve prison sentences and face deportation.
Junmyung Lee, 32, lives in Dedham, Massachusetts, is the appointed Booker who reviews and arranges thousands of clients seeking sexual behaviors – including high-profile politicians, CEOs, scientists and defense contractors.
From January 2022 to November 2023, Junmyung conspired to manage the illegal interstate network with 42-year-old Han Lee and 69-year-old James Lee.
Han Lee is the leader of a group that caters to the rich and mature humans, but all three brothel managers were arrested and charged in November 2023.
In October 2024, Junmyung conspired to persuade, lure, lure, lure and coerce one or more persons to engage in prostitution and one money laundering conspiracy.

Last month, Han was sentenced to four years in prison and was sentenced to one year of supervised release after she left. James is scheduled to be sentenced in May.
Han reportedly pays Junmyung $6,000 to $8,000 per month for screening and booking customers to see prostitutes primarily in Boston and Eastern Virginia areas.

Predictable anger erupted as these people tried to make the hearing cover their identity.

This crime is often handled in Massachusetts through “Show Cause” hearings, which are often private, sparking anger over the lack of transparency.
Multiple media outlets finally ruled to the Massachusetts Supreme Court that the ruling should be held in public demanded that the hearing be held privately.
Those charged face paid fees, which is unlikely to result in jail if they are convicted.
But advocates of prostitutes argue that attitudes towards men can help them humiliate them and warn others.
Protesters and advocates also argue that this reduces the need for sex workers, many of whom are trafficked.
The original affidavit in the case states that sex workers advertise commercial sex through two websites under the guise of professional nude photos.

One of the websites focuses on the Boston area and directs customers to access many addresses while the other targets the Virginia area.
On the Boston website, a photo of an Asian woman is opened with it, which says: “Here to serve our Boston friends. Your character is in writing.
‘Please don’t knock on the door! on time [sic] There is no guarantee that you will waste time.
The site also adds the height, weight and size of bust for multiple Asian women available for dates.
The affidavit says that the women displayed on the scene make changes and updates frequently.
The group is said to have three apartments in a building in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and another apartment in Watertown.
In Virginia, the ring is said to run in two apartment buildings in Fairfax Town and Tyson.
“Han Lee and her accomplices have developed a sophisticated plan to build interstate commercial networks and cover up their activities by laundering money,” Michael J. Krol, a Homeland Security Investigation, said last month.
“This secret and secret industry treats women as commodities and does not provide protection for the safety and well-being of participants.”
