Engineering student attacks female lecturer

Visakhapatnam: In a sensational incident, a female student attacked a female lecturer with a chappel after confiscating her cell phone.
The incident occurred on the Raghu College campus near the Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram National Highway. Another scene captured by a student on the video was spread on social media. The actions of second-year students have attracted widespread condemnation.
According to witnesses, the lecturer grabbed the girl’s cell phone after observing her use of the device on campus and violating university rules. The student began verbally abuse of faculty and staff. She took off her shoes angrily and beat the lecturer completely after classmates.
Other students intervened and tried to appease her, but she continued to act aggressively against the teacher.
“We don’t want to escalate the matter. Parents asked us not to register the case because it could hurt her academic future,” said a spokesperson for the institution. He said a committee had been set up to determine whether students should be allowed to stay in the institution.
Sad to the incident and the bright way the university administrators handled the matter, the lecturer resigned from her position. The Raghu Institution Chairman held a meeting with the teacher to resolve the problem.
