EPFO added 7.39 million new members in February

The staff’s provident fund organization said in a statement in New Delhi that the organization had recruited 7.39 million new subscribers in February 2025. The Pension Fund Authority added Rs 161 lakh members this month, an increase of 3.99% net salary by 3.99%, which increased the effectiveness of employees compared to the release of EPFOs compared to February 2024.

“One obvious aspect of the data is the dominance of the 18-25-year-old age group, with 427,000 new subscribers added to the 18-25-year-old age group, accounting for 57.71% of new subscribers added in February 2025,” the EPFO ​​said. The net salary increase for the 18-25-year-old age group was about 678,000, reflecting a 3.01% increase in February 2024.

“About 13.18 million members who exited earlier rejoined the EPFO ​​in February 2025. This figure depicts a significant increase of 11.85% year-on-year growth compared to February 2024.” In February 2025, approximately 208,000 new female subscribers joined the EPFO, an increase of 1.26% over the previous year. “In addition, the net salary increase for women this month was about 337,000, an age-high growth rate of 9.23% compared to February 2024,” the release said.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Haryana, Haryana, Delhi, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh have increased by more than 5% of the total net salary this month. “On the increase in net salary, about 41.72% of the increase comes from expert services (by human suppliers, normal contractors, security services, other activities, etc.),” ​​said the EPFO.
