NCLT’s notification Shapoorji Pallonji Group passes bankruptcy request
National Corporate Court (NCLT) – Mumbai released real estate giant Shapoorji Pallonji & Co on Tuesday. Pvt notification. Ltd (SPCPL), seeking response to so-called breach of contract violation request ₹27,200 million.

Intertouch Metal Buildings has been constructed and constructed at the newly developed metal buildings at Port Blair Airport in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, according to chartered accountants who appeared in front of NCLT. The airport construction bid was awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
“The airport construction is complete and fully operational. However, ₹The total value of the project of 27,200 million is ₹150 million,” the chartered accountant told the court.
The roofing company said it had repeatedly contacted the Shapoorji Pallonji Group via email regarding pending payments. The representative added: “Even after the request is issued, we have received only a small number of requests for approval, which we are properly compliant. Nevertheless, payments have not been cleared yet.”
After hearing this, NCLT issued a notice to SPCPL, instructing the company to submit a reply within 7 days. The next hearing is scheduled to be held on April 24.
This is not the first bankruptcy claim against Shapoorji Pallonji Group. In October 2024, Mumbai NCLT rejected the bankruptcy request made by KBC infrastructure against SPCPL. The court ruled that bankruptcy proceedings cannot be abused as debt recovery instruments, especially if the amount of debt is disputed or does not meet the required threshold.
Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering & Construction (E&C) is the general contractor for the shell-shaped terminal building at Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair. The construction cost of the new terminal building spans 40,837 square meters is ₹Rs 7.1 billion, aiming to handle about 5 million passengers per year.
