Regional collector A. Shyam Prasad said Friday that the government is planning to establish at least one industrial park in each parliamentary constituency in the Parvatipuram-Manyam district to improve economic activity and provide livelihood opportunities for locals.
A detailed action plan was submitted, which was also very passionate about promoting industrial activities in tribal areas. “We have received several applications from entrepreneurs willing to establish an agricultural industry in the region. Their recommendations need to be cleared by the Senior Authority and the Industrial Promotion Committee.” According to him, entrepreneurs will receive multiple offers, in addition to civic amenities such as roads, electrical connections and other facilities required to establish their industry.
Entrepreneurs from both scheduled castes and scheduled tribes will gain more benefits in the form of subsidies and interest exemptions, as both unions and state governments initiate several programs for their interests. Non-SC and ST entrepreneurs can also build their own industries under the rule of four constituencies that do not belong to the pre-determined agency field. The region, founded three years ago, hopes that it can achieve 2,047 goals through rapid industrialization. The collector said the improvement in GDP will only increase as the industry is established.
