The first semifinals of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest begin on Tuesday, May 13 in Basel, Switzerland. A total of 37 countries performed in the two-part semifinals, with the next match scheduled for Thursday, May 15.

In the highly anticipated final, there will be a total of 26 countries performing, looking forward to the Eurovision 2025 championship. These include the five major countries in France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain. They already have a guaranteed position in the finals. In addition, Switzerland, the Swiss host country, also participated in the competition as Nemo won last year’s competition.

Eurovision 2025: First Semi-Final Timeline

The first semi-final will be held at 8 pm on May 13 (local time). It’s done on Iplayer and BBC One as well as Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. Three of them (Italy, Spain and Switzerland) are automatically eligible for the finals.

The second semifinal of the 2025 European Television Song Contest will begin at 8 pm on May 15.
