Even after paying DD, Lord Venkateswara did not have Seva!

Nellol: A couple from Mahabubnagar hopes to perform Seva for Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala, who faces unexpected disappointment despite completing all formalities. Setty Chandrasekhar paid the DD (Demand Draft) for Seva in 2008, with Rs 21,250 (Tirumala tirumala tirumala tirumala devasthanams) with his wife, Son and Son, Son and Son and nod-naber to participate in TTD (Tirumala tirumala tirumala tirumala devasthanams) for the Thirupavada Seva and Melchat Vastram Seva.

However, they did not perform SEVA due to the lack of response from TTD. In 2021, they re-registered the SEVA scheduled for September 10, but was cancelled due to the 19th. TTD informed that the cancellation was caused by the pandemic and ensured that the broken darshan is provided instead of the Sevas.

Frustrated, the couple came into contact with the Mahbubnagar Regional Consumer Dispute Remediation Forum. After hearing the request, the forum asked TTD about the delay and non-issuance of tickets. The court ordered the TTD to be rescheduled on May 8, or the refund of Rs 1 million to compensate for mental distress and mental disappointment.

In this context, TTD contacted the state consumer forum, but the latter directed TTD to resolve the problems of the district consumer court itself.

The Regional Forum pulled up the TTD and asked if they would provide 50% of the Seva ticket or deposit in court fines or jail. TTD has no other option and agrees to arrange SEVA accordingly.

TTD officials said SEVA can now be conducted from August 14 to 15 this year and tickets were delivered through the Consumer Court.
