“Even if the original report is lost, caste census data will be digitized”

Congressional MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah claimed on Monday that data related to socioeconomic and educational surveys, commonly known as caste census, could be digitized even if the original report is missing.

Mr Yathindra said questions about the allegations made by opposition leaders against opposition leaders.

He not only refuted the allegations that BJP Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had for retaining the original report “unfounded” but also called “absurd” and expressed by “biased assumptions” are allegations that Mr Siddharamaiah had injustice for his dominance that belonged to his defensive community.

Mr Yathindra tried to emphasize that the caste census would not cause any harm to any caste and tried to eliminate the “misunderstanding” that if certain communities were to be implemented, it would be affected.

Mr Yathindra noted that the caste census report attempted to increase the percentage of bookings from the existing 32% to 51%, and Mr Yathindra said that if the report was implemented, all backward classes, including Vokkaligas and Lingayats, would benefit.

Given the increase in population, various backward communities have been seeking an increase in booking percentages. He said eliminating the 50% cap on bookings is a solution to increase bookings in various lagging categories.

He said it does not have to increase proportionally to each community’s population, but according to its economic backward state.

Mr. Yestra also tried to make it clear that Chief Minister Sidalamaya’s position was not threatening and dismissed allegations of the caste census report, only stabilizing him politically.

He said the party was united behind Mr. Sidalamaya and the senior commander was supported. Despite false cases against him, the Party’s leadership, senior headquarters and party lawmakers remained firmly behind Mr. Sidalamaya.

He said the caste census was his commitment to society. Although the investigation was completed during his tenure as Chief Minister, the same investigation could not be carried out. However, the party’s declaration in the last congress election has promised its release and the party came to power when it promises.

He said the party’s commander, including opposition leaders of Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, favors caste census if the party comes to power. As a result, the caste census was released, he said.

Mr Yathindra responded to the problem on Janivara Row, saying that errors have occurred in several places and that the government has taken appropriate action against the wrongdoers and properly addressed the dissatisfaction of the victims.

He said Congress will ensure religious freedom for all and called on the BJP to politicize the matter.
