“Everyone is chasing the elusive…”

Anurag Kashyap criticized the trend of pan-Indian films, saying their budget involved a lot of box office, and most people failed at the box office. He added that everyone wants to imitate formulas such as Stree, Uri, Baahubali and KGF.
Anurag Kashyap Grand Slam Pan-Indian Movie
Anurag Kashyap, once acclaimed films such as Wasseypur, Ugly, Black Friday, Gulaal and Dev.D, is known for expressing his own opinions and he often has trouble. The filmmaker slammed the trend of pan-Indian films in his latest interview, noting that the money went into a huge gain, with only 1% of the job, and most of them ended up failing at the box office.
Kashyapu said at a meeting with Hindus: “For me, Pan India is a huge scam. Pan India is a term. If a movie performs Pan India, movies are Pan India. How can a movie make a movie before it is made? This is three to films in three to four years. It’s not in the movie either. The story is the same, the actors are the same, and the money goes into these huge, unreal suits, which makes no sense.
“Some movies have been successful, and no one expects to be like Street. This started the trend of horror comedy. When Uri became successful, everyone started making nationalist movies. Everyone started making these big ass movies with Prabhas or others. KGF has been successful and everyone wants to follow suit. The numbers have risen, but maybe there is a movie that is over Rs 10 billion, a movie that has gone past Rs 9 billion in the past five years, maybe only five to six movies have arrived there, but we have made 1,000 movies a year”
Meanwhile, Kashyap’s latest film Kennedy is waiting for the release of the drama over the past two years. Neo-Noir action thriller Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone starred in the stars and got great results in screenings at multiple international film festivals.
