Expense reimbursement is bent by ‘influential’ university: Yennam

Hyderabad:Congressional MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy said on Tuesday that administrators of university administrators concentrated in Hyderabad and other large urban areas are taking advantage of the fee plans and are run by influential wealthy people.
Srinivas Reddy said during a discussion at the conference that students at smaller universities in rural areas were struggling because their institutions were not receiving considerable relief.
“Who got the reimbursement for the fee? Malla Reddy Education Institution with about 18,000 students, Sreenidhi and Gurunanak, about 3,000 students or Anurag with about 2,500 students? Who do these universities belong to?” Srinivas Reddy asked, saying that the topic of expense reimbursement in the state requires a thorough debate.
Srinivas Reddy said Telangana witnessed a silent revolution as the government implemented free bus trips for women. Women saved about Rs 50 billion on bus fares.
“We found that the savings from free bus travel are being introduced to more nutritious foods and educate their children. A few years later, when we conduct a survey, we will see a drop in malnutrition rates in the state due to this program,” Srinivas Reddy said.
