Explosion of AC compressor unit leads to tragic fire in Gulzar Houz unfortunately

Hyderabad: Fire department officials narrowed the cause of Sunday’s fire tragedy in Gulzar Houz on Monday, and although more investigations are needed, an explosion occurred in the AC compressor department. Authorities suspect it is running for several days in a row.
Officials found the compressor was completely burned and assumed it exploded and the fire spread to nearby electrical meters. They said that due to the accident, a lot of smoke was emitted in several ACs on the ground floor.
“The main power gauge, AC compressor unit and AC power sector were completely burned down. However, we cannot fully conclude that AC compressors are the main cause of the fire. We are still investigating the accident.”
Other possible reasons for the shortlist of officials are shortlisted by the old wiring that may contribute to the short circuit.
A fire department official who asked to be anonymous said: “The fire started on the ground floor and spread to the upper floor. Preliminary investigations did show that the short circuit was the cause of the fire, but the faulty wires could be the cause of the short circuit.”
“If the wiring is old, the use of AC and other heavy appliances in the house may cause overload problems on the wire itself. This may cause the wire to melt and then a short circuit may occur.”
The official also asked people to regularly check for faults on the wiring and follow basic safety procedures to avoid fires. “Do not place the bed or any flammable material on the walls of the AC mounted. Always keep a little gap under the AC. This way, if the AC fails and any sparks will fall from it, they will fall on the floor.”
Meanwhile, a PTI report said five departments will investigate Sunday’s fire tragedy. Firefighters, police, GHMC, Income and HYDAA will jointly investigate the tragedy and submit reports to the government. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy ordered an investigation into Sunday’s fire accident.
As a measure to prevent such unfortunate accidents in the future, the government will involve local public representatives impressing residents of old buildings in the interest of ensuring their safety in order to install fire safety measures.
A senior police officer told PTI that a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) plans to visit the site for investigation.
The official further said that the fire accident case related to the incident was registered. He added that further investigations will be conducted based on its findings.
