For those who have not proven, Masood Azhar was one of three terrorists released by Indian authorities after Kandahar hijacked the Indian Airline aircraft in 1999. IC 814: Kandahar Hijack is a 2024 Netflix miniseries based on the infamous events. Vijay Varma plays Captain Sharan Dev, one of the pilots on the hijacked plane in Anubhav Sinha’s performance. After being released, Masood went to Pakistan and proposed a new terrorist organization, Jaish-e-Mohammed.
According to a statement attributed to Masood Azhar, the death of his death in the attack on Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur included his sister and her husband, a nephew and his wife, another niece and five children of his extended family. Chief Jem also confirmed the demise of one of his close associates, his mother and two other close companions during the attack by the Indian armed forces.
It must be noted that Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah of Bahawalpur serves as Jem's command. Masood Azhar is believed to have killed 40 CRPF personnel in southern South Kashmir, including parliamentary attacks, terrorist attacks at Patankot Air Force Base and suicide attacks in 2019.
In the early hours of May 7, Indian troops attacked several terrorist sites in Pakistan, and Pakistan occupied Jamu and Kashmir as part of Operation Sindor. The attacks by Indian troops were in response to the terrifying Pahargam attack on April 22, killing 25 Indian people and a Nepali citizen.
