Faithfully implementing the ceasefire: Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Pakistan said on Sunday (May 11, 2025) that it was “committed to the faithful implementation of the ceasefire with India” and asserted that its forces were dealing with the situation with “responsibility and constraints.”
India and Pakistan reached an understanding on May 10, 2025 (May 10, 2025) to cease all military operations on land, air and oceans and take effect immediately.

A few hours later, New Delhi blamed Islamabad for violating Islamabad and the arrangements were under tremendous pressure.
In a media briefing near midnight, India’s Foreign Minister Vikram Misri called on Pakistan to take “appropriate steps” to address these violations and to handle the situation “serious and responsible”.
“Pakistan remains committed to faithfully implementing a ceasefire between Pakistan and India,” a spokesperson for the Islamabad Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The spokesman said Pakistan’s “troops are dealing with the situation with responsibility and constraints”.
He added: “We believe that communication should be conducted at the appropriate level to smoothly implement any issues of the ceasefire.
Tensions between India and Pakistan surged after Pakistani-occupied Kashmir (POK) attacked Indian armed forces in response to Pahargham terrorist attacks, after Indian armed forces attacked terrorist launch pads by Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).
