Fake cool drinks caught in Warangal

Warangal: Under the supervision of ACP A. Madhusudan, a working group police and food safety officers led by inspector M. Ranjith Kumar conducted a joint raid at K&S Cool Drinks Distribution Shop in Warangal. The team occupied adulterated and expired cool drinks worth Rs 33,568.

During the inspection, officials found nearly eight expired cool drinks that were sold. Store owner Mohammed Khaleel, 48, a resident of Parameshwari Nilayam, was detained and handed over to food inspector Krishnamurthy for further investigation.

Police warned that strict action will be taken against those selling unhygienic or expired food. They say that the goods of counterfeit and branded goods are regularly maintained, including tampered popular brands. The offender will be prosecuted under the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006 and the 2011 rules and regulations and regulations, and coordinated with the food safety department.
