Rajasthan Royals made a bold move by making young man Vaibhav Suryavanshi debut in a match against Lucknow Super Giants.
The young talent of Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, scored a considerable entry in the Indian Premier League, hitting six with his first ball. He is only 14 years old and is now the youngest debut in league history. In the first game of the RR Chase, he fired the ball on Shardul Thakur’s delivery cover.

Rajasthan Royals made a bold move by making young man Vaibhav Suryavanshi debut in a match against Lucknow Super Giants. Vaibhav, who was just 14 years old, became the youngest player to make his debut in the Indian Premier League ever, intervened for Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson, who was eliminated due to injury.
Vaibhav was born in 2011 and entered the IPL scene after his establishment in 2008, setting a unique record and becoming the first player to be born after the starter. Riyan Parag served as Rajasthan’s substitute captain, confirming Vaibhav’s addition to XI against LSG, and Vaibhav was called the impact as Rajasthan first competed at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi gained recognition in the 2024 season and performed well in cricket for the age group, breaking the record and becoming the youngest Indian player on the cricket roster. He also made history, becoming the youngest player to debut in the Ranji trophy, which was only 12 years and 284 days old.
Vaibhav was selected by Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 Mega Auction, aligning with the franchise’s commitment to investing in young and promising talents. Rajasthan won the Delhi capital, winning the then-13-year-old for Rs 13 crore.
Before the IPL season, Vaibhav hit the Indians’ fastest one hundred in the U19 Test, hitting a milestone in just 58 goals, second only to Moeen Ali’s 56-goal record.
