Fighting against blood cancer and chemotherapy, Bastar Girl Tops Level 10 Board Exam

Reibull: Ishika Bala, who struggled with blood cancer and conducted research through painful pain, came from the Kanker district of Maoist attacks in Bastar, who took 99.16% of the percentage points to the 10th board exam in Chhattisgarh.
“I had a hard time focusing during the painful treatment. My parents and teachers stood behind me like a rock to motivate me to focus on learning. I am proud of what I have achieved today.”
She recalled that she was diagnosed with cancer while studying at Level 9 in September 2023. “That day, I decided not to allow any goal to be achieved in a way that would be what it might be,” she recalls.
Last year, she had to drop out while undertaking chemotherapy because of her class. Her tenacious spirit made her teacher come forward and helped her beat the odds.
“It was a very challenging moment for me, but I knew I would stand out from the color. If a person cleared the basics of this topic, he could easily focus on research. It would attract research interest,” she said. “I aspire to be an IAS official.”
Given her determination shown on the board, her parents ITI and Shankar Bala believe Ishika will win the battle against cancer.
In another major development, a girl from the Baiga Kangana Baiga primitive tribe ranked first in the school on the Level 10 exam. Kangana is a student at Kumbharpur Government High School in Bharatpur District, Chhattisgarh, who has received an 83.7% stake.
The results of the Chhattisgarh Level 10 Board Exam were announced here on Wednesday evening.
State Health Minister Shyam Behari Jaiswal announced that the government will bear all costs of Ishika’s treatment. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised Ishika despite her adversity.
