Celebrated consultant weight loss and metabolic surgeon Kesava Reddy Mannur strives to focus on his well-being every day
As a doctor, Dr. Kesava Reddy Mannur spent his days full of hours dedicated to patient care, with significant responsibilities to maintain life, and the dynamic schedule felt relentless. Despite the harsh nature of his work, he puts in a dedicated effort every day to prioritize his health. “Searching for harmony is essential, allowing me to stand out while inspiring others through positive approaches,” said the renowned consultant weight loss and metabolic surgeon.
My daily work
His day starts with a shower. After that, he sat in meditation (Raja Yoga) for an hour and read books to enhance his philosophical and spiritual well-being. “The next one was a walk in the nature/park, for half an hour of basic exercise. Then I had a small breakfast – basic simple food to maintain myself. Eat once or twice a day. For me lunch was a small amount of rice, vegetable curry, vegetable fries, charu (rasam) and Yoghurt,” the doctor said.
Karma Yoga
His workdays are often filled with help from patients and those in need. “Evening walking (sometimes) and meditation – encountering me feels my mind is consistent; it enriches my point of view. I also conduct evening prayers to enhance the philosophical thoughts of others.” He added: “I pray before bed to empower not to repeat the mistakes I may have made.”
Fitness system
Walking and stretching are necessary to stay healthy. He shares tips for staying healthy. First, meditation maintains mental control, eliminates negative thoughts and always maintains happiness. “Walking and muscle tone exercises also keep you healthy. Perform your duties the way you are expected, with full concentration and compassion; don’t bother with the results.” The doctor added.
We must eat only what our body needs for daily activities; avoid overeating. He told us: “Don’t go find names, fame and wealth – they follow your job. This applies to social media. Don’t look for answers to posts.” The doctor says interacting with friends and maintaining relationships helps you develop a good resonance. He advised: “Finding others, not delving into their bad natures, and signing it out, “Developing a certain level of philosophical thinking so that you can live happily in any situation.” ”
