Five Bangladeshi nationals, including three women, were arrested within the past 24 hours

Guwahati: Five Bangladeshi nationals, including three women, were arrested in Tripura in the past 24 hours.

In another incident, two Bangladeshi thieves were detained on Sunday by villagers of Nandalal Das Para of the Sinina Assembly constituency.

In the past 24 hours, the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Police Department (RPF) and the BSF arrested five Bangladeshi nationals, including three women.
GRP station chief Tapash Das said they conducted a joint operation with the RPF and the BSF and arrested Bangladesh nationals.

They entered Indian territory by illegally crossing the border.


“They were registered at the Agartala GRP station in accordance with Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), the Indian Passport Act, Foreign Act and other relevant parts of the law,” Das said.
