A 4km security wall will be erected around the city after bomb threats from Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday, April 15. Authorities tightened bombs in cities and nearby areas.

Emails claimed that the bomb was planted in the offices of collectors in four districts in Uttar Pradesh, triggering a security alert on Tuesday, but no suspicious alert was found after the building was evacuated and extensive searches were conducted. Shortly after authorities in Firozabad, Aligarh, Barabanki and Chandauli received these emails, the bomb disposal unit, the anti-judicial inspection team, the dog squad and local police quickly mobilized to their respective collector houses. Officials said all buildings have been evacuated and thoroughly searched.

Authorities in all four regions said no explosives or suspicious items were found. They added that the investigation was to identify the person responsible for sending scam emails.

In Aligarh, a senior police officer told reporters: “Short after receiving the email, security forces arrived at the local sheriff’s office and evacuated the site. The entire complex was thoroughly inspected. Although no suspicious items were found, inspections were still being conducted as a precaution.” The officials added that the threatening email was received on the official email ID of the Magistrates of the Aligarh Region.

In Barabanki, District Magistrate Judge Shashank Tripathi said: “Today, we received a threatening email with an official ID card claiming that explosives like RDX are being planted on the Collectorate campus.
“Although the information did not seem credible at first, we immediately reminded the police at the police station and called a bomb disposal squad, which conducted a thorough search. No suspicious objects have been found so far. Efforts are being made to track the source of the email.” Sumit Tripathi, a Barabakhi City Circle official, said the origin and authenticity of the email were not clear.

“Investigations are underway to determine if this is a prank attempt or part of a larger conspiracy,” he said.

In Chanduli, local policing judge Nikhil Tikaram Funde said a man who identified himself as Gopal Swami sent an email warning in collectors allegedly related to political issues in Tamil Nadu. “The sender even listed the address in Tamil Nadu. We immediately reminded the police chief and searched the collector’s house in a comprehensive manner. No suspicious thing was found. The email content seemed frivolous and lacked credibility, but we still proceeded with total caution.”
In Firozabad, similar threats were received by email around Tuesday afternoon, saying explosive materials had been placed in the local sheriff’s office.

Authorities build security walls around the temple

Nripendra Misra, chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple’s Building Council, said on Monday that the safety wall spanning about four kilometers will be erected around the Ram Temple and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
