Five people killed in lightning strike in northern Karnataka

Barrily:On Tuesday, heavy rains accompanied by lightning and lightning slammed the area, with five people killed in their respective lightning strikes across northern Karnataka. According to reports, Ballari, Koppal (each) and Vijayapura (one). A pair of cattle also died in Copaul. The downpour also caused traffic roar and bushes in several areas of the North Karnataka region.
In Hulihyder of Kanakagiri Taluk in Koppal district, 45-year-old Yankappa Jaddi was struck by lightning while working in his field. His pair of cows also died in a strike that took place around noon. Basanagouda, a 39-year-old farmer from Mailapur of Karatagi Taluk, was killed by lightning while trying to cover up his harvest with tarpaulin.
In the Balari district, Bheerappa, 45, and Sunil, 26, died among residents of Raravi Village, Siruguppa Taluk, in similar circumstances. A 14-year-old boy named Vinod was also affected and is currently in critical condition in the hospital.
In the Tangadagi village of Muddebihal Taluk in Vijayapura district, Mallappa Gurushantappa Talikoti, 47, was struck by lightning, hiding the shelter under a tree while grazing cattle.
