Standing by those who have lost their jobs in Bangladesh schools, will do everything to restore their dignity: Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday guaranteed full support from qualified candidates who lost their school jobs after the Supreme Court order and asserted that her government would ensure they would not stay unemployed or rest. The Supreme Court invalidated the appointment of 25,753 teachers and staff in state-owned and auxiliary schools in Bangladesh on April 3, saying the entire selection process was “contaminated and contaminated”.

“I will support those who have lost their jobs in an unjust way. I don’t care what others think. I will do everything to restore your dignity.” Banerjee said in a meeting with affected candidates and school staff.

“We have a separate plan to ensure that qualified candidates do not face any services. We will not allow them to remain unemployed,” she said.
Banerjee reiterated that the state government respects the Supreme Court’s ruling, saying the government is taking positive steps to address the situation with “greatest concern and fairness.”

The Chief Minister also claimed that her name was dragged into something “I have no impression”, referring to differences in school job appointments.

Banerjee asserted, “If someone wants to stand with someone who has lost his school job, I’m even ready to go to jail.” She said, “There is a conspiracy to break the entire education system. Some people are playing a dirty game.”
