Woman dies after riding in amusement park in southwest Delhi; FIR registration

New Delhi: An 24-year-old woman allegedly died after riding from a roller coaster ride in an amusement park in the Kapashara region in southwestern Delhi, an official said on Saturday.
Police said in a statement that the deceased was identified as Priyanka and stood out on a ride at the amusement park on Thursday night.
He added that there were obvious injuries on the dead body, including bleeding from the right leg, laceration wounds, puncture wounds on the left leg, and multiple abrasions on the right forearm and left knee.
Priyanka was taken to Manipal Hospital by her friend Nikhil and doctors declared her dead, a senior police officer said.
The Kapashera Police Department received comments on the MLC (Medico-Legal case) of the incident, and since then, investigators visited the hospital and collected medical reports.
“Visible injuries on the body include bleeding on the right leg, laceration wounds, puncture wounds on the left leg, and multiple abrasions on the right forearm and left knee,” the officer said.
In his statement, Nikil told police that he and Priyanka went to the entertainment and food village around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday and boarded the roller coaster. Priyanka allegedly fell while riding, he said.
An official said that FIR registration has been conducted under Section 289 (negligent acts regarding animals or machinery) and BNS 106 (non-criminal homicide is not a murder case).
He added that the autopsy of the deceased had been conducted and the body had been handed over to the family.
Police said further investigations are underway to determine the exact sequence of the incident and responsibility for the incident.
