Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in India, achieved another milestone as Reliance Industries’ FMCG division has soared, becoming India’s eighth largest milestone in just two years. ET reports that Indian billionaire Reliance Consumer, a fast-growing consumer product (FMCG), has surpassed the Indian operations of large players such as Marico and Tata Consumer Products. Reliance Consumer Brands has also become the fastest-growing FMCG company in the country, according to the fourth quarter data. This expansion led to a 3.5-fold increase in year-on-year sales in the quarter. In the second year of operation (FY25), total sales of Reliance consumers were Rs 114,500 crore.
Ambani’s leading companies include Campa, Spinner, Velvette and more. Its beverage brand Campa also gains double-digit market share in major markets. The FMCG division of the conglomerate is led by Isha Ambani, daughter of Mukesh Ambani. The company now targets sales to 50,000 to 6 million stores over the next three years.
Currently, Reliance Industries has a market capitalization of Rs 18.95 crore. The company’s shares closed at Rs 1,398.90 on Tuesday, up 2.20%. The stock soared after fourth-quarter results. The stock became the largest earnings in Sensex. RIL’s share price rose more than 5% on Monday.

Mukesh Ambani has now joined the competition to buy Haier units in India, a Chinese consumer electronics giant that sells products such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, TVs and water heaters. The company has been operating in India since 2003. Haier reportedly wants to sell up to 51% of its Indian operations to introduce Indian partners. The company is reportedly seeking to localize its consumer electronics and equipment manufacturing operations by developing local strategic partners.
