Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Director Om Prakash, who was allegedly murdered by his wife and daughter, held statewide honors in Bangalore on Monday. His son Kartikesh performed the final ceremony.
Former DGP relatives and friends gathered to pay their final respect. He was cremated at the Wilson Garden Crematorium after the guns paid tribute.
Kartikesh told reporters after cremation: “I filed a complaint after yesterday’s incident. The police are doing their work and I have confidence in them. I don’t want to comment further because the investigation reveals everything. Let’s wait for that.”
The retired IPS official, 68, was stabbed to death by his wife Pallavi and daughter Kriti. According to Kartikesh’s complaint, the case has been registered against them.
Bihar is a native of Champaran, Prakash holds a master’s degree in geology and was appointed Director General of Police on March 1, 2015.
