SSLC exams have a smooth start in Mysuru

The second day after the II PU exam, the SSLC exam was started in the Mysuru area on Friday. It is held in 153 centers in the region, including 43 centers in the city.
The first day of the exam did not go smoothly, and there were no reports of adverse events or malfeasance. A total of 39,103 students were taking exams in the area.
Except Webcasting, the examination halls of each SSLC center are monitored by CCTV. Here, the webcast of the exam is monitored in the control room set up by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
These students are prohibited from carrying cell phones and electronic devices such as smartwatches and headphones. It is also prohibited to wear full-arm shirts and shoes.
Deputy Director of Public Teaching (DDPI) St Javare Gowda and department officials inspected the city’s center and ensured the exams went smoothly. The Flying Team also monitored the exam, which will end on April 4.
Other deputy commissioners Shivaraj visited the control room, where they monitored the network broadcast and checked the arrangements.
Mysuru District performed well in the SSLC exam (Level I exam) last year, finishing seventh place, with 85.50% of students passing the exam. In 2023, the region ranks 19th in the state. As Mysuru is an important educational hub, schools in the region are being asked to work hard to improve results in 2024. The region rebounded, improving performance in last year’s exams.
Meanwhile, in Mandya District, as many as 20,469 students this year, including 10,661 boys and 9,835 girls taking the exam.
Overall, inspections in the area are underway at 62 centers, each with a principal as chief principal in addition to the paper trustee. Each block of the center has a node official to oversee the inspection process.
Each examination center room is equipped with CCTV cameras and is arranged for the entire process of network playback. Appointed officials have monitored the inspection process based on video footage accessed by cameras installed in the center of the area.
To facilitate student transport, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has been required to provide timely service on designated routes, especially in rural areas, so that they can reach the center on time. The regional government has asked KSRTC to ensure that driving buses does not delay to prevent inconvenience to students.
A control room has been established in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Mandia to closely monitor inspections of all centers under CCTV surveillance and measures taken for the inspection process to be broadcasted.
