Four militants arrested in Bishnupur and Kachining areas of Manipur

Police said on Sunday (April 6, 2025) that security forces arrested four militants, including a “teenager”, including two banned outfits in the Bishnupur and Kachining districts in Manipur.
Members of the banned Kangaroo Communist Party (PWG) were arrested on Saturday in Moirang Okshongbung in Bishnupur, while the “teenager” of active members of KCP (MC Progress) were arrested in Nambol Bazar in the area.

An officer said active cadres who violated the KCP (PWG) were also caught from Bishnupur’s Ningthoukhong.
He said in Hiyanglam, Kaccinn area, security forces arrested a member of the United People’s Party of Canlepark (UPPK) during the search operation.
Meanwhile, police added that during another search operation in Jiribam district on Saturday, police recovered several guns in one search operation.
