The SAMVAAD Foundation, in partnership with Alimco, an artificial limb manufacturing company in India, successfully organized a free hearing aid distribution ceremony at Samvaad Foundation Office Offices on Thursday.

According to the press release, a total of 348 hearing aids are allocated for free to beneficiaries across Bangalore and Karnataka.

From 10-year-olds to older adults over 80, recipients include those who have been struggling with hearing loss due to lack of access and affordability.

Jayaraman, a regional consultant for the Rotary International Disease Prevention and Treatment Area, praised the program: “Acquiring hearing aids is not a privilege, but a fundamental right. The Samvaad Foundation’s work in this field has made many families life-changing.” Shivakumar highlighted Alimco’s commitment to inclusive assistive technologies and praised the Foundation’s dedication to social impact.

The sign of the event is gratitude, hope, and emotional moments, as several recipients sound clear for the first time in a few years.
