Free land title registration from Mangalagiri next week: Lokesh

Vijayawada: Education Minister Nara Lokesh announced that starting next week, his Mangalagiri constituency will provide land ownership registrations for housing beneficiaries for free. He said Friday that beneficiaries have the right to sell the land titles in two years.

The Minister is speaking on the Mana Illu-Mana Lokesh program at Don Bosco School in Mangalagiri. On the fourth day of the initiative, he distributed permanent home restaurants to 1,030 economically disadvantaged families, including 430 families from the Tadepalli Mahanadu area.

Lokesh outlines a variety of welfare and development plans adopted in the region, including free medical services under the NTR Sanjeevani scheme, vocational training for women, job creation and sport promotion through the Mangalagiri Premier League. He said a total of 26 welfare programs were launched in Mangalagiri.

He said the proposed foundation for the 100-bed hospital will be laid on April 13. The hospital will be ready within one year. In addition, plans include improved underground drainage, water pipes, electricity and gas supply, as well as the development of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.

Lokesh said Rs 3 billion will be allocated for the construction of the main retaining wall. The park is being developed across multiple wards and has been working in six new parks, while SLN Park has opened. Among the proposed community buildings, 17 lands have been identified, and the building is completed in almost two aspects.

The minister called for a transparent and corruption-free process to allocate housing locations – people spent thousands on applications and documents without results compared to the past. “We measured the land quickly, achieved a policy through the cabinet, and fulfilled the commitment without delay,” he said, urging beneficiaries not to sell their land. “Mangalagiri is becoming one of India’s cleanest and most developed cities.”
