Free parenting has expanded – this is who qualifies and what that means

Education Minister Bridget Phillipson, outlining the new rules, said Labor wants to get “backward” working families and “empower them” to have more options to have more options in working hours and how many children there are.
Ms. Philipson said the expansion would give women a larger family.
Starting this Monday (May 12), starting from September 1, working parents of young people who are 30 hours a week can apply for 30 hours of free childcare, which will continue until their children reach school age.
Ms. Philipson said: “They will be able to choose the career that suits them, the time they want, or the option. [have] With the support of childcare time, with the support of the government, consider the size of the family and the freedom they want to have. ”
She added that she hopes the change will promote a “generational shift” for working women, “reduce financial burden” and “providing greater freedom in occupations and family planning.”
The announcement also states that starting from September, 4,000 parenting venues will be launched in new or expanded school nurseries in England.
Ms Philipson said she was “frankly making sure we have as much place as possible” and the first round of funding funded 300 school-based nurseries in England Ministry of Education.
In October, the school applied for funding for the project and was allowed to bid for £15 million.
Each successful school applied for, which can apply for up to £150,000 per application, will receive the funds they bid for to repurpose or expand existing space and provide child care.
The Ministry of Education said the top 300 nurseries applied will now be able to offer an average of 20 locations per location, with a total of up to 6,000 new locations and up to 4,000 by the end of September.
Who is eligible for additional parenting time?
The amount of free parenting you can get depends on the age of your child, work and income.
If your child does not normally live with you or you or your partner, you will not be eligible for assistance if your child is expected to have a net income of more than £100,000 for the current tax year.
If you are working, you can apply for free childcare, which includes getting sick after taking maternity leave.
The UK government will also view your income.
To qualify you, over the next three months, you and your partner (if any) must at least expect to earn at least:
- If you are 21 years old or older, £2,539 before tax (equivalent to £195 per week)
- If you are over 18 to 20 years old, £2,080 before tax (equivalent to £160 per week)
- If you are under 18 or older (equivalent to £120 per week)
