The Odisha Congress riots, Congressional Judiciary defeats Gong

The Odisha Parliament witnessed the chaos on Tuesday (25 March 2025), with opposition judicial aids playing gongs and slogans while protesting various issues, forcing Speaker Surama Padhy to postpone the lawsuit twice until 12.01 pm.

As litigation in parliament is often attacked by riots, Deputy Speaker Bhabani Shankar Bhoi convened a party-wide meeting to resolve the matter.

Although BJD members have raised slogans that require proportional reservations to SC, SC and OBC students in educational institutions and work, the Congressional MLA has requested a House committee to inquire about violence that occurred within nine months of the BJP’s arrival in power.

The MP defeated Gong and Cy, and while playing the flute, it caused a huge noise in the room. They have done the same thing.

Spokesman Padhy called on exciting members to return to their seats, but had no impact.

“Yesterday, the Deputy Speaker of the Ruling instructed members not to bring the instruments into the house. However, you (the Member of Congress) are playing today. This is unacceptable.”

In the midst of chaos, the spokesperson first adjourned until 11.30 am and then stayed for another 30 minutes until 12.01 pm. The house only recesses within one minute of school opening.

Congress Mars (MALS) has been inciting the rise in alleged crimes against women at the conference since the second phase of the budget meeting on March 7.

A senior political party, MLA, was also suspended for seven days when inciting at the conference.

After the recess of the palace, members of Congress held a sit-in near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, while BJD legislators held a conference near the entrance gate and shouted slogans holding placards, demanding that SC, SC and OBC students be retained in educational institutions.
