From cutting meat and dairy to adding plant-based meals, check out Genelia D’Souza’s diet plan

When asked about the general belief that plant-based diets do not provide enough protein, Genelia strongly disagrees.
Actress Genelia D’Souza always looks full of life and energy. In a recent podcast with Dr Priti, she shares how her food choices help her feel better and stay healthy. Genelia said she became a vegan in 2017 and later gave up on milk and dairy. Over time, she moved to a completely plant-based diet and now follows it every day.
She explained that a vegan diet requires planning. Genelia creates a monthly food plan to ensure she gets enough protein and other nutrients. She also believes that a healthy diet doesn’t have to be boring. In her meals, she often uses tofu instead of panes. For example, she makes Palak tofu instead of Palak pane. Genelia says tofu is full of protein, low in fat and has no cholesterol. She added that the tofu may not taste like a pane, but can be made delicious with the right spices and cooking methods.
When asked about the general belief that plant-based diets do not provide enough protein, Genelia strongly disagrees. Even bananas have protein, she said, and shared that she once held up 100 kilograms while eating vegan diets. She claims the lack of protein is a myth and says her favorite dish is now made with plant-based ingredients.
Genelia also talked about the Indian diet and said it was one of the best diets. It includes many home-cooked meals, spices and flavors. According to her, this will make the food more pleasant and healthy, whether you are vegan, non-vegetarian or vegan. She believes that mindful eating is very important.
She also said that when people avoid all carbs, she finds it weird. In her opinion, most foods have carbohydrates, and eating them in moderation is not harmful.
