Sachkhand Express ran from Nanded City in Maharashtra to Amritsar City in Punjab. It goes from Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara (also known as Golden Temple) in Amritsar to Sri Hazur Sahib Gurudwara in Nanded in Maharashtra. These two pilgrimage sites are not only famous, but are also very important to the Sikh community. Furthermore, NANDED has special significance for the Sikhs because their 10th Division, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, died in Nanded.

Sachkhand Express covers a distance of 2,000 kilometers in about 33 hours, with 39 stops on the route. On its route, passengers offer Langar or community meals in six locations.
