The viral video was originally posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user @T_Investor_, capturing the funny comments from delivery executives about the request. “They booked Porter in Porter and transferred the package from Tower 17 to Tower 19 in the same society,” he said, panning the camera, showing the short walking distance between the two towers. There was no sign of irony, and he walked past the house with a smile on his job.
The growing symbol of urban life absurdity
The moment seems trivial, but it involves a bigger story: the super-tight world we quickly enter, even the shortest walking is delegated – sometimes not out of laziness, but pure habit or pure necessity.
This is not the first time Porter has made headlines for unexpected use cases. Just two months ago, in February 2025, a Bangalore resident named Pathik took an unconventional route to work. During the peak period, he didn’t see Ola or Uber’s sight, complimenting a porter bike for cargo delivery and riding manually to his office with the driver.
His X post – “I had to move myself today because without Ola, Uber” quickly spread. His photo, wearing a helmet with a porter brand and insisting on a delivery rider, struck a chord online. The post has gathered over 32,000 views, many of which call it “the moment of genius Bangalore”.
“Creative, chaotic and very Bangalore,” wrote an interesting user.

Such events—whether sending packages next door or riding a delivery bike on a free-ride— highlight the growing popularity of platforms like Porter, originally designed to help small businesses move merchandise.
