Police said the Gohati High Court was threatened by bombs Tuesday morning. They said the High Court received an email threatening that the building would explode. “After receiving the threat information, we rushed a team to the High Court immediately. Our experts are checking every corner of the house and have so far found nothing. We think it is a scam.”
He said the details were only known after the search operation was completed. A senior High Court official said the email was received from an unknown group called Madras Tigers, which threatened to blow up the entire building. “The police have come and they are conducting a search operation. They bring different equipment to disinfect the buildings,” he said. The official said the threat did not hinder the operation of the court and the judge was hearing the case as planned.
