Part-time lecturer of the school team stirred up April 17, requiring work guarantee

Warangal: Part-time lecturers at 12 state universities in Telangana will hold a “Challo Secretariat” protest on April 17, demanding that they be resolved on long-term standby.

Dr. Y. Rambabu, President of the Association of Part-time Lecturers at Kakatia University, posted a poster Tuesday in Hanamkonda asking for minimum time-scale salary and job guarantees for lecturers who have served for more than 15 years.

He stressed that part-time teachers should be given priority in regular recruitment and urged the government not to make new appointments until the requirements are addressed.

He refers to the state’s recent recruitment of university faculty by No. 21, where he called for amendments to include recognition of part-time teaching experience as an effective service and stressed the importance of providing greater weight to the UGC network and doctoral degrees.

The association’s Secretary General Dr. Narendra Nayak questioned the logic of refusing to work safety and continued to work with lecturers for more than 15 years. “If part-time teachers are qualified to teach for years, why are they not eligible for permanent positions?” he asked.

He called on all part-time teachers from Kakatia University to participate in the protests in the Secretariat on April 17.
