Gautam Adani's team meets Trump officials to close U.S. bribery case: Report

Billionaire Gautam Adani and her company representatives met with officials from the administration of President Donald Trump to demand that criminal charges be dismissed in a bribery investigation, according to Bloomberg News.Negotiations began earlier this year and have gained momentum in recent weeks, and if the pace continues, resolutions could be generated in the next month or so.
A source told Bloomberg that Adani's representative is trying to prove that his prosecution does not match President Donald Trump's priorities and should be reconsidered.
In November, U.S. authorities sued Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani, accusing them of bribing to secure a contract for India's electricity supply and misleading U.S. investors during the fundraising. The SEC summoned Adani and her nephews to accuse them of paying millions of dollars in bribes to Indian officials while misrepresenting antigen compliance in the $750 million Adani Green Energy Bond product.
