GHMC enables property tax assessees to update their mobile phone numbers

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has added a new rule to its online property tax page to enable assessees to update their mobile phone numbers.

The mobile number database is kept in an application related to property tax so that conventional alerts and information can be sent to citizens for property tax and other services.

Mobile phone numbers are forced to be captured when payments are made from property taxes from all sources. Additionally, a password will be sent to the customer once when the customer tries to access property tax details and pays the tax online.

Customers who wish to change their mobile phone number may open the link ‘https://onlinepayments.ghmc.gov.in/ptax/pt_mobileupdate’ and select the horn and key in the mobile number to change. After clicking the Update button, he or she will be asked to choose whether the phone works. If it works fine, the OTP is sent to the existing mobile device, and if not, it is sent to the new mobile device. A statement from GHMC informed that once the OTP typed OTP, details will be sent to the Deputy Commissioner of the circle concerned, and a statement from GHMC will check the Deputy Commissioner of the circle.
