Samsung paused a UI 7 launch due to errors affecting Galaxy S24 users

Samsung paused the launch of its One UI 7 update after discovering a bug that prevented some Galaxy S24 users from unlocking their phones.
The problem was first reported by Leaker Ice Universe, who noted that “a serious mistake was found.” Although the error only affected Korean Galaxy S24 users, Samsung decided to stop promoting globally.
The company reportedly suspended updates to all affected devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Based on Android 15, a UI 7 was released in January using the Galaxy S25 series for the first time. The update brings several new features, including redesigned icons, new widgets and more lock screen customizations.
Users can also access Google’s Gemini Assistant by pressing the side button for a long time. In addition, One UI 7 introduces a suite of AI-powered features such as AI selection, writing assistance, painting assistance, and audio eraser. However, these AI features will not be used on all Samsung smartphones.
