Nellol: In a tragic incident, a young woman from Giddalur, Prakasam region, moved to Germany in pursuit of higher education and died of cancer last Monday. The deceased, Rehana Begum, 27, is the daughter of Sheikh Mahaboob Basha, a retired teacher in Kanchipalle Village, Giddalur Mandal, who moved to Germany in 2022 to dream of completing her master’s degree in biomedical engineering. She is studying in Aaron Town.
But, for the past 22 months, Rehana has been battling blood cancer, her father revealed. Despite her brave fight, her health deteriorated rapidly and she died last Monday. Her mortal remains arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday. Family members took the body to Kanchipal and held a final ceremony on Monday. The premature death of young Rehana Begum brought a sad shadow to the entire village.
