GMR Aero Academy Recovery Fire Training Program

The ARFF program is designed as a intensive 24-week course centered around the ICAO curriculum structure.

GMR Aero Academy announced the restart of its aircraft rescue and fire training program and resumed operations on its Hyderabad campus. The program trained more than 350 professionals between 2013 and 2018 and will start the 9th batch on May 14.

The ARFF program is designed as a intensive 24-week course built around the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) combination course. It combines classroom learning with hands-on experience using advanced fire equipment and is led by experienced industry professionals.

Graduates of the program are expected to benefit from the strong industry links of GMR Aero Academy, including access to a network of over 15 airports managed by the GMR Group in India, as well as contacts with major airlines such as Indigo and Indigo and Air India Express.

Airport firefighters are the guardians of aviation safety, and their momentary decisions and actions can save countless lives. Like our armed forces serving our country, these professionals work with a strong dedication and courage, often putting themselves in very challenging situations to increase the range of supply in the distance. The current supply range is increasing. Ecosystem,” said Ashok Gopinath, president of GMR Aero Academy.
