Three arrested for possession and sale of “Hydro Ganja” in Gongtuli; seized Rs 7.5 lakh of drugs

In a major drug bust, Gantour area police arrested three individuals and attempted to sell 500 grams of “Hydro Ganja” worth about Rs 7.5 lakh. The arrests were made on April 15 near Kaza Toll Plaza based on reliable intelligence received by Ci Srinivas Rao and Si Venkateswarlu in rural Mangalagiri.
Gontur District Police Chief S. Satish Kumar said the arrested persons were identified as Indukuri Ramakrishnam Raju, 35, alias Krishna, 30, Puruganti Anil Kumar and Nagaraju Sri Harshavardhan Varma, 27. The three purchased premium medicines from a vendor in Bangalore called Amit and were on their way to Eluru for distribution.
Police took contraband together with two cars and three mobile phones. Anil Kumar, who previously involved in three cases, including two drug offenses, introduced other cases into the trade, according to preliminary investigations. He claims the demand for “Hydro Ganja” is high, and it costs almost twice the price per gram of purchase.
SP Satish Kumar warned of strict legal proceedings against anyone involved in narcotics and urged youth to avoid drugs, which could undermine their future. He praised the efforts of the police team and DSP Murali Krishna for quick and effective action.
