Good. Dedicated to people-centered governance: Sridhar

Karimnagar: IT and Industry Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Monday reiterated Congressional government’s commitment to people-centered governance and Ambedkar’s vision for private interests and promoted vulnerable groups. The Minister laid the foundation on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar, several development projects in the Manzani Constituency of the Peddapalli region.

Sridhar Babu, accompanied by regional collector Koya Sriharsha, said the state is aligning with Ambedkar’s ideology and the Indian Constitution, with public welfare at the heart of its agenda.

The minister announced funding for major infrastructure works, including Rs 1.19 crore from Ekhlaspur-Hammampally Road Restoration, a 15km BT road between Khammampally and Odedu, and a 15km BT road between Manthani and Odedu, and a 15km BT road between Khammampally and Odedu. Near the Pagulagutta Temple, another Rs 2 crore was allocated to roads and electricity works.

He thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for their support in achieving these projects and urged officials to ensure the life of 15 years of road quality work. Sridhar Babu highlighted the welfare initiative, noting that the Congress government addressed the long-awaited SC classification problem, implemented the SC/ST sub-programme, and approved the Rs 1 crore SC Community Hall in the Manthani learning circle.

He listed various plans such as free RTC bus trips, LPG cylinders of Rs 500, 200 free power units, subsidized rice and Rs 18,000 crore of premium rice farmers’ bonuses. Under Rajiv Yuva Vikasam, large-scale subsidies are being expanded to conduct self-employed businesses.

In addition, each constituency has approved 3500 Indiramma houses, spent Rs 20 billion on young Indian Gurukuls and abandoned Rs 20,681 crore of farm loans.
