Rajasthan Royals star batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his IPL debut against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Saturday’s 2025 edition Game 36. He made history when he became the youngest IPL player at the age of 14. Vaibhav announced his arrival, facing six of his first balls. Vaibhav’s batting skills impressed everyone, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Pichai woke up to the live action of the Rrr vs LSG match and reacted to the IPL debut of the batsman of RRR RAJASTAN to witness the eighth grader’s debut. “Wake up and watch the eighth grade drama in IPL!!!!!!!!!
Vaibhav announced his arrival, facing six of his first balls. The young lefty continued to score 34 quick runs, including two boundaries and three towering sixths, which gave the Royals a start to the flight in a crucial encounter. Eventually, he was fired in ninth, but his fearless hit left him with a lasting impression. The record for the youngest player in the IPL was previously held by Prayas Ray Barman (playing for RCB), who debuted on the 2019 IPL’s Sunrisers Hyderabad. His sensational 2024 season has made him outstanding both at home and abroad.

Who is Vaibhav Suryavanshi?
Vaibhav was born in Bihar on March 27, 2011 and is the youngest player in the IPL this year. He made his debut in Bihar in January 2024, only 12 years and 284 days. During his debut, Vaibhav beat Baroda 42 goals against Vijay Hazare trophy in 2024-25, becoming the youngest Indian, earning fifty rosters. On the international stage, Vaibhav set a record for the fastest youth test century for the Indians, against Australia in Chennai. He also played a key role in India’s competition in the ACC U19 Asian Cup final, contributing two crucial half-century.
