Fearing about “shocking” violence against Hindus, under the pretext of opposing the WAQF amendment in West Bengal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanded the reign of West Bengal on Thursday (17 April 2025). The group also announced that it would protest against violent nationwide on April 19.
VHP Secretary General Milind Parande accused the Mamata Banerjee government of inaction on the violence of Hindus, and the group will seek time to meet President Droupadi Murmu and submit a memorandum asking her to impose presidential domination in the state.
The VHP leader also made ministers in WB make anti-constitutional remarks and said that the role of sleeper cells in “Bangladesh” must not be excluded in states like WB and Bihar, and cannot be excluded.
“The imbalance of the Hindus population in the country is dangerous for the whole country. Even the governor of Goa mentioned a similar situation in the state. He specifically mentioned the decline in the percentage of Christian population in Goa, coupled with a surprising increase in the percentage of Muslim population,” said Paradne, who spoke to the media in South Goa.
He added that locals in Goa also witnessed “seemingly systematic” settlements against Muslims in other parts of various rallying constituencies.
He added: “This shows a wicked design and the authorities must focus on this imbalance in the population because it may affect the political outcomes of the election.”
Parande also informed that at the VHP top staff meeting held in February at Maha Kumbh Mela, the organization was determined to launch a nationwide advocacy campaign to advocate for the removal of temples from government control and promote greater autonomy for Indian religious institutions.
“VHP will register over 10 million Hindus in November in VHP. Over the next 1-2 years, we will work to carry out services in the fields of education, health or employment in socially impoverished areas. VHP has operated 5500 services in 5500 services.
