Government amends National Security Advisory Board to appoint former Hikaru Alok Joshi, Chairman of the Board of Directors

The government has revamped the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) – a move that is about India’s possible retaliation against the Pahalgam terrorist attacks given its cross-border links.

It is reported that former R&AW chief Alok Joshi has been appointed as NSAB chairman.

The NSAB is an advisory body that provides advice to the National Security Council Secretariat.

New members appointed as NSAB are former Western Air Marshal Sinha, former Southern Army commander Ak Singh and post-Admiral Retd Monty Khanna, people familiar with the matter said.
