British authorities failed to summon Russia with weapons

According to Britain, the Russian army has “long-term incompetence” in handling its own weapons.

The British Ministry of Defense pointed out that Russian ammunition “had suffered multiple large explosive explosions” about 80 kilometers east of Moscow.

Although Russia is fighting Ukraine, it is not due to the attacks in Kiev.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the explosions were “caused by fires, resulting in ammunition explosions.”

British officials claimed: “It is very likely that poor weapons handling procedures and negligent ammunition storage caused this loss.

“This is consistent with a long-term trend that often proves Russian incompetence, which is a safe and appropriate treatment of its own ammunition.”

The Ministry of Defense added that “this could result in the greatest damage to Russian ammunition caused by Russia’s own actions in the current conflict”.

More than one kilometer of the warehouse (which reportedly holds about 105,00 tons of various ammunition, including missiles and front-line combat ammunition) was damaged by the explosion.

The Defense Department said there were suggestions in the facility that were “huge losses”.

Additionally, British officials said “unstable, unstable, unstable, unstable, unstable, unstable ammunition may have landed outside” and that the warehouse “could pose a danger to nearby civilians”.

With pressure from Vladimir Putin to participate in face-to-face peace talks held in Türkiye on Thursday.

The Russian president has been refusing to confirm whether he will meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the first time since December 2019, despite suggesting he is directly negotiating.

The Ministry of Defense has been reporting difficulties within the Russian hierarchy, including soldiers’ issues with alcohol consumption, poor discipline and low morale.

Russia reportedly suffered 1 million casualties in the Ukrainian war, with 160,000 soldiers killed or injured in the first four months of the year alone.
