CPI(M) opposes approval of Sainik School named after the late nephew of the minister of Congress; allegations against him

The Communist Party of India (Marxists) opposes the decision of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) to approve the new Sainik school in Madhya Pradesh Narsinghpur, named after the late nephew of state cabinet minister Prahlad Singh Patel.
CPI(M) Secretary of State Jaswinder Singh raised objections in his speech to Hindus on Wednesday, demanding the name of the new school, Maninagendra Singh Sainik School, and claimed that the school was named after multiple cases of him, including Dalit atrocities.
Earlier on April 28, Mr Patel shared a letter from the Sainik School Society of Mod, which established a “temporary approval” at the Maninagendra Singh Foundation in Gotegaon in Narsinghpur, which is also the local area of Mr Patel.
The NGO was founded in May 2023 and enjoyed by Mr Patel’s brother and former BJP MLA JALAM SINGH PATEL’s son Maninagendra Singh.
The teaching building is currently under construction and will be the sixth Sainik school by Madhya Pradesh under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The approval comes after the convening of Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on April 25, calling on Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to call on Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
“Senik School not only provides education to children, but also instills values to sacrifice supreme sacrifices to the state. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for allowing this to be allowed to begin Yagya Shala For the country of my birthplace Shridham (Gotegaon),” Mr Patel wrote on X after the meeting.
CPI(M) leaders said that Maninagendra Singh had multiple cases targeting him before his death.
“He was sentenced to jail in the case of attacking a young man in Dalit. His wife also accused him and his domestic harassment and domestic violence and filed complaints with them. We will open a Sainik school in the Sainik school under his name.
According to multiple news reports, a court in Narsinghpur sentenced Maninagendra Singh and four other men to be beaten in 2011 for assaulting a man.
He was also arrested in 2023, according to a report that was a case of assault on Dalits in 2019.
Although Patel’s office did not respond to the Hindu call, Mr Jalam Singh Patel denied the allegations against his son and said he himself had studied at a military school in Nashik and wanted to open a school in Narsinghpur.
“Nothing proved anyway. People have been accusing of such a charge, but it was his dream that we are starting schools for youth in the state,” said the former BJP MLA.
